Persimmon (kakishibu) dyeing is among the most significant traditional Japanese dyeing techniques and produces rich, long lasting browns. While kakishibu is a colour fast natural dye, some amount of colour transfer may occur on lighter coloured fabrics before the first washing, discretion is advised.
